Teaching Method Training
Under the formal invitation of Li Yunan Experimental General School, our school selected four junior high school mathematics backbone teachers, namely Zhou Mi, Wang Yue, Jiang Ping and Zhu Lianfen, to go to Nantong, Rugao from July 6th to 8th to participate in the "Self-study, Discussion, Guidance" teaching method special training, which focused on three modules: classroom practice, special topic research and AI digital teaching, helping teachers absorb the latest curriculum reform experience and enabling our school's school-based teaching to improve and upgrade.
First and foremost, this training was delivered by Li Yunan, a nationally renowned education expert and a special-grade teacher who enjoys the privilege of State Council's special allowance. With 68 years of experience in the teaching field, Li Yunan has developed the unique "Self-study, Discussion, Guidance" teaching method and the "Double Spiral Education Paradigm", who has twice won the first prize for national teaching achievements. In the meantime, the lecture deeply analyzed the core system of the "Three Learning Classrooms": re-construction of learning materials, re-organizing teaching resources based on students' learning situations, discarding mechanical practice exercises, and returning to the essence of mathematics; the combination of three learning methods, integrating individual self-study, group discussion, and teacher guidance, achieving a deep unity of autonomy, cooperation, and guided learning; the re-generation of learning process, based on real problem situations, taking into account both classroom pre-planning and dynamic generation, promoting the natural growth of students' thinking. Moreover, the lecture clearly defined the four characteristics of a high-quality mathematics classroom: student subjectivity, teacher leadership, profound thinking, and holistic development, emphasizing that problem-driven is the core driving force for deep learning.
Furthermore, during the training period, experts such as Wu Xiaobing, Yin Dongjian, and Gong Zhen conducted demonstration classes on topics like power operations, square roots, inverse proportion functions, and the overall teaching of units, fully demonstrating the standardized teaching process of tiered self-study, cooperative thinking, and precise guidance, converting advanced educational theories into replicable and implementable classroom models. Also, this training added a special section on AI-powered mathematics classrooms. Through practical learning such as intelligent geometric demonstrations, function image exploration, precise diagnosis of learning situations, and personalized homework design, it effectively assisted teachers in using digital tools to overcome teaching difficulties and build smart and efficient classrooms.
In conclusion, in April 2026, our school was officially approved as Li Yunan Experimental School. More remarkably, this Nantong study tour is an important measure for our school to implement the promotion of national teaching achievements and deepen the three-in-one classroom reform. In the future, our school will continue to rely on the high-end teaching research platform, internalize the study tour results, deepen the classroom teaching, and promote teaching through research, continuously creating deep, warm and high-quality junior high school mathematics classrooms.
